A couple of weeks ago, over on the Critical Hits podcast, I had the opportunity to talk to Chris Sims, freelance game designer, former WOTC designer and editor, and fellow writer over at Critical Hits. He was involved in the production of a number of D&D products including the Adventurer's Vault, Martial Power, and Death's Reach. Here's the recording:
Critical Hits podcast: Chris Sims on Encounter Design (63 minutes, 61 megs)
In this podcast we spend an hour talking about encounter design, how to build them, how to make them awesome, how to incorporate published material into your game, and pitfalls to avoid. This is an excellent intermediate look at building great encounters for your D&D game.
