I don't have a good client for PC but some like to use Tweetdeck. I'm not a fan of how it scrolls though, so I just stick to the web page when I'm on a PC. I also use Tweetie on my iphone a lot. Question for you: I'm using Echofon (formerly TwitterFox) to follow Twitter, but it doesn't handle groups and hashed tags -- only my own tweets and the people I follow.
