I've been using a combination of the Evernote iPhone app and the desktop app which allows me to sync information gathered on the go and at my pc. I don't know why it never crossed my mind to apply it to game planning! Now, if I'm at lunch or hell just laying in bed about to crash I can grab the phone and record some story idea or flavor text at the moment and I'll have it at my PC when I'm ready to put the pieces together. Seriously, I can't praise it enough.
